Supergirl season 3 finale video: Why the onus is on Sam

Supergirl season 3 episode 15

As we approach the Supergirl season 3 finale on The CW Monday night, one thing feels very clear: Samantha Arias is just as important as is what’s coming up with Reign.

In the new video that CarterMatt has for you below, you can see executive producers Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner do their part to set up the story for this final chapter, including how it’s going to be up to Sam to figure out how to gather enough strength to take Reign on. Her being able to do that is going to be key to stopping her more so than just about anything Kara does. We definitely have some concerns about her making it out of this episode alive, just as we also have concerns about a wide array of other characters, to go along with it. We’re worried for Ruby, we’re worried for those close to Sam, and we certainly do think that the entire landscape of this show is going to be very different than what it once was by the time all of this is over.

As a matter of fact, we’re going to be surprised if Supergirl ends the finale in a way that enables Sam to continue to be a part of the show moving forward. We certainly would welcome it, but at the same time we also don’t have a heck of a lot of confidence given the way everything is set up for her right now.

Beyond Reign, there are of course some other adversaries out there in the three Kyptonian witches — how do you stop them? They don’t seem to be as much as of an immediate a threat to the planet as Reign is, but if they created her, odds are they can certainly do this again and need to be stopped as soon as humanly possible.
