Big Brother 20: Meet houseguest Bayleigh Dayton, former Miss Missouri

There’s something really funny we did before the season — we wrote an article listing the three character types we didn’t want to see this season in a Texan, a surfer/skateboarder type, and a beauty pageant contestant / cheerleader. What do we get? A Texas A&M student, a surfer/lifeguard, and a former Miss Missouri in Bayleigh Dayton. Why does CBS do this to us every year!? We even had a beauty pageant houseguest in season 1 (Jamie) – that’s how long this casting type has been going on for Big Brother! Bayleigh is 25 years old, is from Lees Summit, and also works as a flight attendant.
Houseguest comparison – She’s a little reminiscent of Porsche from season 13, someone who has some of the tools necessary to do well at the game but may not be perceived as much of a serious threat from the start. She’s also opinionated, but not so much that she’ll cause a lot of fights.
Have they seen the show before? – Her favorite houseguest is Donny, which immediately sounds the alarm and suggests that she’s one of the contestants in the “I was shown season 16 in sequester” camp. Though, it may make some sense since Lees Summit isn’t that far from Donny’s neck of the woods.
Fun facts – She apparently gets hit on “every day” while being a flight attendant … which really just feels like more of a humble-brag than a fun fact. She is the first African-American Miss Missouri and, aside from yoga (which a billion people seem to be into this season), she’s also a big Marvel fan. We don’t know if that means that she reads the comics or just likes The Avengers cause it’s popular, but if she goes in there talking about Moon Knight she may be in our top three this season.
Early assessment – Bayleigh has the potential to go along way. She still has to show some serious game savvy, but she comes across as nice and her pageant experience likely means that she knows what to say and how to say it in given situations. She’ll probably be underestimated and if she’s smart, she’ll use that to her advantage.
