Outlander notes: Latest on Caitriona Balfe, Sophie Skelton

Outlander season 4Who wants an afternoon edition of Outlander notes? In this article, we are going to spotlight some of the latest interviews featuring Caitriona Balfe as well as Sophie Skelton — two women who are certainly busy as we enter the formal start to the summer.

Let’s start with Caitriona. who was recently a part of a feature interview with Tatler Magazine. It is a fantastic read that we recommend you check out from start to finish, as she talks about the whirlwind journey of first being cast in the role of Claire to her modeling life before that, the Me Too movement, and some of the other things she has been working on. One of the most exciting things is her upcoming feature film that she is working on alongside Christian Bale and Matt Damon. She isn’t saying too much about it as of right now (we know that it involves the racing competition between Ford and Ferrari), but she did offer up this a little tease about what she enjoys about the project:

“I play Christian Bale’s wife and James Mangold [Walk the Line, Logan, The Wolverine] is directing. It’s set in the sixties, it’s all about Le Mans, the 24-hour race so it’s a lot of fast cars, hot men and me!”

Filming on this particular part is going to start taking place later this summer presumably, after the conclusion of Outlander season 4 filming. In the event you missed the news earlier, we suggest that you head over to the link here and read more about the read-through for the finale. (Also, did you see the report on the sudden insect infestation in Scotland? It is certainly making filming even more challenging than it is usually.)

As for Sophie Skelton, she has been on a promotional tour as of late for her movie 211, which also stars Nicholas Cage. if you head over to Hollywood Outbreak, you can hear her discuss filming in Bulgaria and a few other discussion topics tied to that film. Remember, you are going to get a chance to see Sophie alongside Balfe, Sam Heughan, and Richard Rankin New York Comic-Con later this year. We discuss that further in the video below!
