Outlander notes: Premiere date debates; More4 teaser
Let’s begin, of course, with a question that is pressing for many people out there, and that is precisely when season 4 is going to premiere. We’ve already outlined that to a certain extent in past articles, with us advocating for an early November start date. There are two different reasons for that, starting with the sole fact that we want there to be a good chunk of the season to air before we get around to the holidays. Beyond that, we also don’t want the show to be in a situation in which it premieres around Thanksgiving and viewers are distracted.
Anyway, the question that we do wonder now is when Starz could actually announce the premiere date — why wait? For one, they may not have it finalized at present. Beyond that, they want to properly-time this so that viewers remember it leading up to the premiere. We think it will come at around two months before the show comes back — think in terms of a late August / early September announcement. It’s around then that we realistic expect a season 4 trailer to come out. It’d be great to get it soon (as in today), but there’s no real reason for Starz to release this so early.
Basically, what we’re saying is expect the timeline for August / September, but it’s certainly up to Starz if they want to release info early. They have absolutely done that in the past!

New More4 teaser!
While you may have seen season 2 many times already, the second season is formally premiering the second season on More4 Thursday night! That’s a chance to either enjoy a nice re-watch or even convince your friends to watch it for the first time if they haven’t wanted to pay for it elsewhere.
