American Horror Story season 8 will have many more familiar faces

For everyone out there who is interested, it seems as though American Horror Story season 8 is going to be populated by many familiar faces beyond just the ones that already are reported in between Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, and Sarah Paulson. Granted, in true Ryan Murphy fashion there’s not all that much of an interest in revealing details in advance.

In speaking on this particular subject in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Murphy had the following to say in regards to how he is planning to bring many more cast members from the past on board:

“You will see so many fan favorites return that you’ll feel like it’s The Love Boat … It’s a very high concept.”

One other thing that is very interesting about this upcoming season (which has been rumored to be titled American Horror Story: Radioactive, though that is far from confirmed) is that there’s going to be a huge twist at some point around episode five, which in some ways brings to mind the Roanoke season that reinvented itself many times over the course of the year. (Possibly controversial opinion: Roanoke is one of the show’s best seasons, or at least the best one since season 3 from start to finish.)

At some point on the other side of this season, there’s been talk about doing a full season that is a Murder House / Coven crossover — which, of course, would bring a number of familiar faces back. We hope that this still ends up happening, though everything related to that subject has been rather quiet for a while.

Production for American Horror Story season 8, which will reportedly be set in the fairly-near future, is going to be kicking off at some point in the near future. Once there’s more to report on the subject, of course we will have it for you here.
