Take Two video: Rachel Bilson, Eddie Cibrian discuss upcoming ABC series
In this clip, you can see both Rachel Bilson, Eddie Cibrian, the remainder of the cast, and the executive producers do everything that they can to describe the show, its tone, and much of what is coming up. One of the things that we see stressed here time and time again is that this is a show meant to make you laugh — while it is a procedural and it will have many a dramatic moment, there are also a lot of opportunities throughout it meant to make you smile. This is in a lot of ways a spiritual successor to shows like Bones or Castle (also a product of Marlowe and Miller’s work), one that is going to give you a larger relationship-based story while also giving you interesting stories of the week to look forward to.
One other thing that we learned in the video is how to pronounce the name Eddie Valetik — that’s the role Cibrian is playing, a prominent private eye who ends up bringing on board actress Samantha Swift (Bilson) to shadow him as a favor to an ex. She’s trying to research some of his work for an upcoming comeback role, only to potentially discover that being a private investigator with Eddie may actually be the role that she was born to play.
