Timeless writers release script pages for final season 2 scene
These pages were uploaded late Monday by the show’s official writers room on Twitter — basically, the same glorious people who were nice enough to share a number of deleted scenes over the past few weeks. Those were a way in which to keep the #RenewTimeless discussion going on social media and these pages provide a similar effect. It’s a way to continue to rally everyone together in order to ensure that more episodes are ordered.
We also, of course, love the specific season 2 scene that was released here given that it gives you the last interaction between Lucy and Wyatt before the second Lifeboat arrived containing future versions of the characters. The two are breaking the rules and with that, are intent on doing everything that they can to help save Rufus. This is as compelling a cliffhanger as you’re going to have, and we’re going to continue to assume no matter what happens that our heroes find a way to do that. Of course, we’d much rather see it play out as a viewer than have to imagine it in our brain.
There is no specific timeline at the moment as to when a Timeless decision needs to be made — though with that being said, we’re hoping that there is something formal announced over the next few weeks. The longer the wait, the more insufferable said wait is going to be. We do still believe, though, that the long wait is a further sign that NBC is seriously considering bringing the show back — if they did want to cancel it, they’ve certainly had plenty of opportunities to do that.
