Summer TV Preview: Why The Bold Type season 2 could be so (fittingly) bold

The Bold Type season 2 is the subject of today’s edition of our Summer TV Preview series and at the center of this new series seems to be one thing: Unity. While the majority of this show is set around the complicated, difficult magazine publishing industry, there is a lot of fun that arrives as the three leading ladies continue to build a friendship and figure out ways to survive. They’re diving deep this season and with that almost certainly comes many problems.

Just in case you want a pretty large amount of information in terms of just what is coming this season, we do like to think that the description below offers that and more.

Named by USA Today as one of the “10 Best New TV Shows in 2017” and making Entertainment Weekly’s list of “The Best TV Episodes of 2017,” “The Bold Type” will return for its highly anticipated second season on Tuesday, June 12 at 8:00 PM on Freeform, streaming and on demand.  And ensuring more #Kadena in the upcoming season, fan favorite Nikohl Boosheri, who plays Adena, has been elevated to series regular, as has Stephen Conrad Moore, as Scarlet’s fashion director, Oliver.  “The Bold Type” follows the lives of three close friends living in New York City as they navigate their career, sexuality, identity and ultimately find their own voice in a sea of intimidating leaders. “The Bold Type” stars Katie Stevens, Aisha Dee, Meghann Fahy, Sam Page, Matt Ward, Nikohl Boosheri, Stephen Conrad Moore, and Melora Hardin as Jacqueline, editor in chief of Scarlet Magazine. “The Bold Type” is executive produced by Amanda Lasher, Sarah Watson, David Bernad, Joanna Coles and Ruben Fleischer. Holly Whidden is co-executive producer. The series is produced by Universal Television and The District. Season one of the series is available to stream on the Freeform app, Freeform.com, On Demand, and Hulu.

Meanwhile, the official trailer offers up a better sense as to just how crazy life is going to get almost right away for our main characters. Things may start of innocent enough but it won’t be too long after that when you start to see the crazy ratcheted up to 11.

One thing that is exciting going into this season is knowing in advance that there is at least one more coming on the other side. Hopefully, the two-season renewal gives everyone a better sense of confidence that the show comes back.
