The Flash season 5: Should Jessica Parker Kennedy be series regular?
Beyond that, there is another question: How much of this character should we see next season? Will Jessica Parker Kennedy be a series regular? There is a case to be made for it, given that if she’s at the center of the story moving into season 5, we should be seeing a lot of her. Also, having her around is rather interesting for establishing the show’s endgame — obviously, Barry and Iris start a family at some point in the years ahead.
If CarterMatt did have another question to ponder here, it’s this: Is there such a thing as knowing TOO much of the future? If we get too great of a sense as to what’s coming in the months ahead, there is a risk that you lose a little bit of dramatic tension in the process. Remember here that there are some dangers that come with knowing too much about anything, including what your own future is going to be. Maybe Barry learns about some parts of his life via Nora and, in turn it ends up changing his future because he decides to make different decisions than he would have otherwise.
For now, our assumption is that we’ll see Jessica Parker Kennedy for at least the first few episodes of the up coming season, but after that there’s a reasonably good chance that The Flash uses Nora’s story as more of a kick-off to something else. This entire “Mystery Girl” tease doesn’t necessarily have to lead into all of the season 5 story; it could just be transitional. Since we don’t know who the Big Bad is yet, it’s just too early to say that Nora is completely locked-in to that story.

Just so everyone knows, season 4 is now on Netflix! If you’re a subscriber, that is where you can check out all 23 episodes either for the first time or all over again.
