America’s Got Talent: Zurcaroh, Sacred Riana, Shin Lim among viral acts of the week

America's Got Talent

One of the features we’re bringing back into our America’s Got Talent coverage for this season is the Viral Acts of the Week — we want to really gauge who has the best chance of winning the whole show based on who gets the most social-media traction throughout the week.

At this particular moment, it’s been a good 36 hours or so since the premiere first wrapped, depending on where you are in the country. We’re looking mostly here at a combination of official Facebook and YouTube views for the acts — some are obviously distorted by promotion from the official AGT channels, but we do still think that exposure matters since it clearly gives that particular act an advantage.

Zurcaroh – With over 100 million views on Facebook alone, it’s pretty darn clear that this group (the Golden Buzzer act of Tyra Banks) has the inside track to make it super-deep into the competition. We’re all for this right now since it’s not a singing act and there’s something different and original about it.

The Sacred Riana – With almost a million views on YouTube and over four million on Facebook, the former Asia’s Got Talent winner is getting set to bring her creepy brand of magic to new heights. (Granted, you can argue that some of these views are coming from fans of her original run on TV.)

Shin Lim – His audition has been out there a little bit longer than the other acts thanks to a pre-show promotion, but he still has more than 15 million on Facebook and close to 2 million on YouTube. In between him and Riana, this season already seems stacked insofar as auditions go.

If you missed it, you can head over here to read our full take on some of the auditions from Tuesday night’s show. Meanwhile, also watch our video take on some of the top acts below and subscribe to our YouTube Channel in the event you want some additional insight.
