Elementary season 6 episode 5 sneak peek: What’s in the bag?
In the video below, you can get a pretty good sense as to precisely what Sherlock Holmes’ main dilemma is at the moment — he does not remember the past six hours of his life, and given his recent struggles with his mind, that is a pretty big deal. Beyond just that, there is almost another issue as he finds himself in the possession of a mysterious bag … one containing a severed head. He has no idea how it got there and this is almost immediately a far bigger deal than anything else. If Sherlock somehow is a murderer, his ailment is far worse than he first thought.
There are a number of different possible explanations that one could have to what is going on here, with one of the biggest ones being a setup. Maybe someone intentionally framed Sherlock from the start, and drugged him at some point to cause him to lose his memory. Or, maybe he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time when an episode kicked off. We’re hoping that whatever happened here is not the direct result of what’s been happening to Sherlock’s mind, mostly because the last thing that we want to see is him continue to suffer with this. It’s a sad thing that he is going through and it doesn’t appear as though any major sort of recovery is coming for him in the near future.
If it wasn’t for what Sherlock is going through personally, we would say with confidence that this could be a really fun episode of the show. As it is, though, it’s ultimately rather sad and we’re concerned for him.
