Supergirl season 4: Who is Chester Green?

Supergirl season 3 episode 13

Is it too early to start teasing possible characters within Supergirl season 4? Apparently not, given that there are some more details starting to tricks in about some of the roles that are already being looked at.

According to a report from That Hashtag Show, one of the biggest ones is a 20-30 year old actor to play a character currently entitled Chester Green. This is someone who apparently can “bring a sword to a gun fight and yet end up victorious. He has a dark background that has now put a heavy burden on his shoulders. In missions, however, his charm is so strong that it ends up helping him avoid the brutality of the situation.” That is a pretty awesome description for the character, but beyond that, we do wonder precisely who he is. It’s possible that he is an original character, but the description reportedly fits an antihero by the name of Manchester Black. Even with the name, there are some very clear ties to that comic character. He hasn’t ever appeared in a live-action show before and while he harbored telekinetic powers in the shows, the show itself could go in a slightly different direction.

If it just so turns out that Chester Green is an original character, or a far departure from the original Manchester Black who ultimately comes to use the first name, it wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen that within the Arrowverse. The Arrow version of Prometheus was entirely different from the comic-book counterpart, and that ended up being a good thing since we’re talking here about someone who is arguably one of the greatest villains we’ve seen to date.

We probably won’t learn too much more about this role for a couple of months, but be sure to go ahead and keep them in mind.

What do you think about this Chester Green character gracing Supergirl season 4, and do you think this is really code for someone else? Be sure to share right now in the comments!
