911 season 2 spoilers: Ryan Guzman signs on as new series regular

We heard moving into 911 season 2 that we would see a larger expansion of the firefighter world, and the latest casting news is further proof of that very thing.

According to a new report from Deadline, Ryan Guzman of Heroes Reborn and Pretty Little Liars is going to be appearing on the upcoming season as a new firefighter in the house led by Bobby Nash (Peter Krause). Alas, there’s not a whole lot more in the way of information out there about the character right now. That’s something that could be developed more as time goes on this summer and everyone really has a chance to get into meatier stories. One of the biggest struggles with a show like 911 so far is mostly just the fact that everyone has been operating under a pretty tight window. They had to make the first season in a pretty short period of time and we’re not sure how that much time has been given just yet to season 2. This is a show where everything will develop a little bit more over time.

One thing that does feel absolutely clear at the moment, though, is that the second season of 911 is going to be a great one for Fox. This is a show that had enormous success in its first go-around and we’re certainly confident that it will do so again. The one downside is losing Connie Britton, but hopefully the presence of some of the other actors on the show is going to be enough in order to convince some viewers to come back for more when the series does return with new episodes this fall.
