Miss USA 2018: Did Sarah Rose Summers or Caelynn Miller-Keyes win?

Miss USA 2018

The Miss USA 2018 Pageant aired on ABC on Monday night, which certainly made us wonder one question first and foremost: Why do it now? Why are you putting your live Pageant up against both the finale for American Idol and the first part of the finale for The Voice? It feels like there are about sixty different nights coming up where this pageant could’ve been moced instead; yet, this is what the powers-that-be decided. (We will give the live-tweeters some credit, given the fact that this was trending worldwide during the pageant.)

Ultimately, though, it doesn’t seem altogether fair to put the entirety of our attention on this super-weird and unhelpful timeslot for the pageant, so with that in mind let’s move over to some other important subjects. Namely, we’re speaking here about the actual winner! (The less we say about the Q&A session that we saw over the course of the night, the better.)

Did Sarah Rose Summers, Carolina Urrea, or Caelynn Miller-Keyes win? These were the top three and they hailed from Nebraska, North Carolina, and Nevada, respectively. Of course everyone’s going to have their favorites, so there’s really no point in saying who is better than the others — we’re not a pageant judge.

Third Place – Carolina Urrea. Unfortunately, there is no champion from Nevada.

Second Place – Caelynn Miller-Neyes.

Winner – Sarah Rose Summers — Miss Nebraska has the title! She of course was tremendously excited for it, and another pageant ends without too much fanfare. We’ll see what happens a little bit down the road for Miss Universe. That to us is the more fascinating pageant from a cultural perspective — and also for wacky headlines, even though we are well aware of the fact that we’re probably never going to see another Steve Harvey moment like we once had.
