Riverdale season 3 premiere date hopes for KJ Apa, cast
Let’s kick things off here with this: There is going to be a season 3 of Riverdale, of course! We don’t exactly think that this news is going to be much of a surprise to anyone, mostly because this show is one of the most-popular of its kind on TV in terms of social-media buzz. It’s become a hit that far surpassed what we expected when it first premiered. Who knew that a series based on Archie Comics would be so gloriously dark?
Unfortunately, at the moment the struggle in figuring out the precise Riverdale season 3 premiere date is amplified by the fact that The CW has not officially revealed the full fall schedule as of yet. We are somewhat hopeful that there will be new episodes, once more, in the fall. It makes sense for The CW to do that given that this is a show that generates a lot of traffic for them. To go along with that, we also think it makes some sense to keep it in the Wednesday night timeslot at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time.
How many episodes will Riverdale season 3? If we had to guess, we would say that the show is more than likely going to stick around somewhere between 22 and 23 episodes overall. That episode order is what the show had for season 2 and while we know there were some out there who preferred the shortened run of season 1, The CW loves money. With that, Riverdale makes money. Unless it is some sort of dramatic creative change, we imagine that the show will continue to run most of the season.
As for what’s coming story-wise, expect more drama, but of course there will also be a follow up to what we saw in the season 2 finale. Archie was arrested for a murder he didn’t commit (set up by Hiram Lodge) and while we like to think that it will all be resolved next season, we also expect that Archie is going to have the gang doing some digging to help get him evidence that will clear him of this crime (and hopefully implicate Hiram at the same time).
