Lucifer season 4: The latest on the #SaveLucifer campaign

Lucifer season 4

What’s the latest that is happening in the campaign to make a Lucifer season 4 happen? That’s what this article is really all about! We’re committing to offering up some sort of daily news on the subject from now leading up to whenever the final decision on the show’s future comes out.

Let’s start with this news via series star Tom Ellis: He is going to be appearing on BBC Newsnight tonight, which airs at around 10:30 in Great Britain on BBC Two. Hopefully, there’s going to be a way for fans all over the world to check out that interview after it airs. Ellis is going to be discussing the campaign to save the show there — Lucifer may air on Fox in America but it’s a global show with global fans. Unfortunately, many other countries and territories are grossly impacted by the decision of one particular network in America. That’s why we feel so much for folks in the UK right now.

If you love Tom Ellis and want to see Lucifer come back, maybe this interview will be a great way for everyone to rally further. Keep the #SaveLucifer tweets coming and continue to come up with creative ways in order to get the show back on the air for more!

Update: Watch Ellis’ interview with BBC Newsnight over here.

There is still hope

While there may not be too much in the way of concrete updates on the future of Lucifer at this very moment, do not take that by any means as a sign that the quest to save the show is nearing its end. In a post on Twitter below, executive producer Ildy Modrovich confirms that “the bell hasn’t been rung just yet on this fight.” We imagine that as of right now we are at the point in which overtures and pitches are being discussed — it’s always a difficult thing for parties involved to talk about in-depth negotiations, largely because many said situations are fluid and often very complicated.

In a perfect world, a dozen or so networks would be eager to air new episodes of Lucifer as soon as possible; yet, there are multiple factors at play here in between finding a network that feels the show is the right fit and also making sure everything works out in terms of the budget. As exciting as the quest to save a show can be, in terms of the fine print it can often be about something as boring as accounting.
