Outlander season 4: A new Caitriona Balfe – Rollo picture!

Over the past few days, there has been a heck of a lot going on when it comes to Outlander. With the two-season renewal and the November release window in mind, it’s easy to miss a few other details that have come up along the way!

In this case, that includes the image that CarterMatt has for you below of Claire (Caitriona Balfe) alongside one of the most-popular new additions for season 4 in Rollo. Young Ian’s beloved dog will be making his big debut at some point later this year and we like to think of this photo (which was first posted by Outlander on Twitter) is a fun little tease about what’s coming up. Also, it shows that no matter the century, everyone loves dogs (and if you are an avid reader here at the site, then you know that our dog Coco Chanel Vanderwoof rules our offices).

Is this a moment that will actually appear in the show, or is this just a fun little tease from production? We would argue that it is probably more of the latter, but really it doesn’t even matter all that much. It’s another fun tease at production life and also, to go along with that, a look at one of the exemplary costumes designed for the show.

For those who somehow have missed it, the bulk of Outlander season 4 (premiering this November on Starz) is going to be set within North Carolina. Over the course of the season, you see Jamie and Claire Fraser attempt to start a new home there and settle into a more permanent life than they had at any point through the first three seasons. However, along the way there are going to be some other obstacles that they come across — largely because this is their life. There will be victories (such as Brianna’s eventual arrival in the past), but there will be devastating moments aplenty to go along with it. Thanks to the renewals, we at least know with some certainty that there is going to be more of this story so we can all rest easy.
