Chicago Fire season 7 premiere date hopes for Jesse Spencer, cast
The good news at the moment is simply this: There will for sure be a Chicago Fire season 7, as NBC officially confirmed that on Wednesday. Its ratings have long been solid and the series has a pretty devoted following. With that in mind, there has never been much of a question when it comes to the series’ future.
Now, what you do have to wonder is this: Will everyone be back for more? While there is a different sort of cliffhanger with tonight’s finale than we’ve seen in the past, there are still questions when it comes to the future of some main cast members. Taylor Kinney and Jesse Spencer have both signed on for an additional season, but there are questions still about the future of Monica Raymund, David Eigenberg, and Eamonn Walker. These are three cast members who have been around from the very beginning and it’s not entirely clear if any of them will return. We do remain hopefully that they will, but we learned with what happened at the end of Chicago PD last year never to take anything for granted.
Hopefully, answers when it comes to the future of some of these cast members will come out over the course of the next few weeks.
Now, let’s get to the next order of business here in figuring out what the perfect premiere date would be for the seventh season. We don’t foresee NBC wanting to shift the show from its Thursday timeslot, largely because it is one of the few shows that they’ve had in years that actually performs well. If they were to move it, they would have to find someone else to perform in that spot and we’ve got a feeling that this would prove fairly difficult. We just hope that we get at least another 22 episodes and some interesting new fires and cases along the way.

Expect Chicago Fire back this fall and at some point during the summer, we imagine that an official premiere date will be named.
