Gotham season 4 episode 21 sneak peek: Jeremiah takes on Bruce
Why is that? Let’s start things off with this: Jeremiah is out on the prowl. Not only that, but he is using Wayne Enterprises’ own resources against it. He’s built bombs that he can spread around the entire city, and now, he’s set to also take out Alfred unless Bruce does precisely what he wants. Remember that Bruce also thinks at the moment that Jim Gordon is dead and this is one of the most devastating situations for him possible as a result of that.
Is Bruce about to become Batman? It’s a little too early for that; yet, this is the time in the show where we are going to see him start to adopt a few traits that put him along the path towards eventually becoming more like the Dark Knight … with the operative word here being “eventually.” There are a few parts of this transformation that are going to take a little bit of time in order to properly figure out. Bruce did a little more crime-fighting in costume at the start of the season but that is something that he has shied away from somewhat since. He’s had to find himself, which is realistic in that it’s something that many characters would need to do in his situation.

Remember that by the end of this episode, we’re going to be setting up for “No Man’s Land,” a finale event that could change Gotham as we know it. It’s based on a comic-book story of the same name but knowing the series’ knack for mixing things up here and there, there are probably going to be a few differences.
