NCIS season 15 episode 22 sneak peek: Gibbs learns about Abby
Going into this installment it’s pretty darn clear that Abby’s life hangs in the balance — she’s in the hospital and some of those doctors are going to do virtually everything that they can in order to save her. Along the way, though, some important characters are going to learn the news, and that includes none other than Gibbs. This sneak peek is all about Mark Harmon’s character learning the news about Abby’s condition after McGee gives him a call.
This entire preview is really a lesson in extremes. Things start with Gibbs probably happier than we’ve seen him in years — he’s right in the middle of cleaning house in a game of cards against the likes of Sloane, Vance, and others. (Fornell cameo alert!) Unfortunately, seconds later his facial expression changes entirely when he learns the truth about what’s going on. Knowing Gibbs, he’ll probably rush to the hospital and be joined by many of his fellow team members in the process. Abby is a breath of fresh air to so many different characters — she works incredibly hard, is enthusiastic about her job, and is a kind and loyal friend. She is one of the last people out there who deserves to die.
Yet, in the end this situation with Abby is going to be touch-and-go and some of these characters have to prepare for the worst. The thing we do want to continue to remind you of, though, is simply this — Clayton Reeves is also in danger! We’ve seen a number of different teases for this episode, but few of them reference the fate of Duane Henry’s character in any shape or form.
