Deception episode 10 preview: Enter a secret society

Want to know what’s coming up on Deception episode 10? Let’s just say that Cameron and Kay are going to find themselves in one of the strangest places they’ve been in so far this season, and that is really saying something. They’re going to infiltrating a world that is very much different from any that they’ve been a part of, and it’s a secret society filled with ritual, intrigue, and also potentially a little bit of comedy.

Yet, at the center of everything, you have to believe that there is a criminal reason for their presence. Why would they turn up? We anticipate this being one that will test their ability to think on their feet and also forge connections with people who they may not have all that much in common with otherwise.

How is the quest for a renewal faring?

For the time being we certainly don’t think that all hope is lost with Deception in the slightest. Just think about it like this. ABC has a lot of other shows that are struggling, including Quantico, Designated Survivor, The Crossing, Kevin (Probably) Saves the World, For the People, and Agents of SHIELD. Deception got a 0.8 rating in the 18-49 demographic on this past episode, which is better than what many of these shows have generated in weeks. While it does have the benefit of a good lead-in, we also think Deception deserves some credit for doing what it has without exactly having a cast of well-known names behind it. It’s no guarantee for a renewal, but we are at least giving it a shot.
