Want to know what’s coming on Law & Order: SVU season 19 episode 21? Let’s kick things off here with the title: “Guardian.” That doesn’t exactly something that gives away a lot of information, is it? The biggest takeaway comes via the implication of said title — this is going to be an episode about protection, or at least the idea of perceived protection. This is someone believing that they can protect someone else but whatever means possible. This is also a story that may have a surprising twist as a result of that.

We do know that the crime at the center of this case is going to be a gruesome one, and it could call on Fin to take the lead — for those of you who love Fin episodes, “Guardian” should be right up your alley. Take a look at the Law & Order: SVU season 19 episode 21 synopsis below for a little bit more insight:

05/09/2018 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Wednesday) : Fin (Ice T) investigates a man’s claim that his sister was gang raped. Also starring Mariska Hargitay, Kelli Giddish, Peter Scanavino and Philip Winchester. Guest starring Rotimi Akinosho, Maul Donte Davis, Rachel Hilson, Big Daddy Kane, George Wallace, Amanda Warren and Kymbali Craig.

Aside from the story that is present within this synopsis, we’re also pretty intrigued by the guest cast. To be specific, we’re a fan of Rotimi’s (he often goes by his first name alone) for the work that he has done on Power over the years as Dre. Within the scope of SVU, what is exciting is that he is an actor who excels at playing these morally-ambiguous characters. On Power over the years we’ve watched the slow descent of Dre from someone on the sidelines into someone who is actually a significant force to be reckoned with. In the upcoming fifth season premiering this summer, he could be one of the biggest, most notable villains we get a chance to see.

Also, Big Daddy Kane! The man is a music legend and that alone is worth us being interested in seeing what’s going to be coming up for him on the series.

Following Law & Order: SVU season 19 episode 21, there are three more episodes to go this season, including a two-part finale. We’re lucky that this is one of the largest episode orders that we’ve had a chance to see for the series in the past few years.
