Outlander notes: Sam Heughan birthday fun
If you look below, you can see a series of very-funny reactions to Sam’s birthday from many notable Outlander names, though the real MVP here is clearly Caitriona Balfe for the series of silly photos and captions that she has of him. We’ve long said that the leads of a series often set the tone for the remainder of the production, and the relationship that Caitriona and Sam have certainly seems to be very much infectious. They work hard when they need to, but also know the perfect time to come online and relentlessly mock each other.
Also, the video featuring Steven Cree is worthy of plenty of laughs, but we dare to say too much more out of fear of giving some of its amazingness away here. Consider all of this a fun way to start your day, at least if you’re in the United States and are still in the process of waking up as you are. Even though today may be Sam’s birthday, things are still rather busy with Outlander filming going strong in Scotland. There are still several weeks to go until the end of production but it does feel as though everyone is starting to get into the home stretch. They can see the light at the end of the tunnel and they just have to continue the grind until they get there.
For Outlander fans and Sam both, today is a day of celebration. It’s easy to show gratitude towards someone who puts their all into the role and is a great ambassador for the series on social media and with many fans. With that, let’s wish Sam the best and hope that this day is everything he wants it to be — also, let’s wish for some more funny tweets before it’s done.
