Timeless season 2 episode 7 sneak peek: Meeting Grace Humiston

On Timeless season 2 episode 7 on NBC Sunday night a woman named Grace Humiston is going to be at the center of the story and for good reason. She is one of the most shrewd investigators in the era, really to the point where she ended up getting the nickname of Mrs. Sherlock Holmes. (That, rather fittingly, ends up being the title for Sunday night’s new episode.)

In the sneak peek below (via Entertainment Tonight), you don’t necessarily get a good sense as to why Wyatt and Lucy are paying a visit to Humiston; nonetheless, you get an excellent opportunity to get a window into precisely who she is and how good she is at her job. She is extremely shrewd and beyond just that, incredibly observant. She can detect things about people with just a few short glances, which is precisely in turn what she manages to do here with Lucy and Wyatt. She determines a good bit about their romantic history, plus what potentially they could want from her, within a relatively short period of time. She is completely brilliant, and in some ways, this opening scene is a validation of her skill.

We can tell you a little more regarding just why Wyatt and Lucy are paying Humiston a visit — it is tied to the wrongful arrest of Alice Paul, a trailblazer within the women’s suffrage movement at the time. This is clearly a move from Rittenhouse designed to upset the movement and make it so that even more people find themselves oppressed. It turns out that the Time Team is going to need some more help clearing her name and they are running into some problems doing so themselves. Hopefully, Humiston is able to help since otherwise, the entire future of America could be at risk.
