Supergirl season 3 releases full Mon-El costume photo

Mon-El

Leading up to the debut of Mon-El’s new costume on Supergirl season 3, The CW has already gone ahead and released a complete look at the outfit in which Chris Wood’s character is going to be wearing. You can see that, in full, at the bottom of this article.

The creation of this costume comes about after there were some mixed reviews to the first iteration of costume for the character revealed on the show this season. This one is so much more in line with the costume that is worn by the character in the comics, and it feels a whole lot more like something that would be straight out of a comic book than just some generic black leather. We’re all for CW comic-book shows getting more colorful, especially since there are so many of them out there that feel as though they are doing effectively the same thing time and time again. It certainly feels like the right time in order for the producers to mix things up a little bit.

As for the role of Mon-El in the immediate future, Monday night’s new episode will feature the character, in part, doing what he can in order to better train Supergirl for an impending showdown against Reign. He has learned a number of new techniques in the years in which he has been away and with that in mind, he is ready to be able to hand some of those down to her in an effort to improve her skills. We also know that there is a specific reason in which the character and Imra are in National City alongside Brainiac-9 — trying to stop Pestilence, who is a significant threat to the future and needs to be stopped before something terrible happens then. They are basically doing their own version of Legends of Tomorrow, going back to the past in order to ensure that the present is okay. (Unfortunately, there is no Beebo at the moment to be able to save the day.)
