The 100 season 5 video: Eliza Taylor sets up Clarke’s journey ahead

Eliza Taylor

The 100 season 5 is set to premiere on The CW Tuesday night, and that’s tremendous news given that it has been a very long wait. Hopefully, it will prove to be very much worthwhile once we get to the end of the episode.

What we’ve got for you below is a new video that is all about the premiere courtesy of Eliza Taylor. In this clip, the actress describes what is, first and foremost, a very different sort of season for her character of Clarke. She’s spent the better part of the past six years separated from the rest of her friends, stranded back on Earth where she establishes a new life for herself alongside Madi. She lives in what is effectively the show’s version of the Garden of Eden, a tiny patch of inhabitable land where she can find some element of peace. She’s in more of a maternal role than ever as she does everything that she can to look after Madi and ensure that no harm befalls her.

This is all great and wonderful, but the reality here still remains that this is The 100 and with that, this is not a show where anyone gets to live in peace for all too long of a span of time. There is going to be the arrival of a most dangerous ship (stuffed of course with rather dangerous people) and that’s going to shift Clarke back into survival mode. She has learned a lot both in terms of her life in the first four seasons and also her life in the years since we last saw her. This is going to test most of that as she finds a way to help both herself and Madi still alive. Eventually, we’re hoping for a reunion of many of the main characters, but this preview offers up no clear indication as to when that will be.

This episode will air Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. Eastern, following the premiere of The Flash.
