Chicago PD season 5 episode 20 video: Voight connects with his past

Hank Voight

Chicago PD season 5 episode 20 on NBC comes with the title of “Saved,” and based on some early details, this is going to be a pivotal episode for Hank Voight.

First and foremost, what this preview (via SpoilerTV) presents is Voight’s past in Hannah coming back at a time in which he can help. It may allow him to showcase a little more of his paternal instincts than he has in a while — after all, Lindsay has been gone for a while and his son is no longer among the living.

Unfortunately, whatever sort of paternal instinct he has goes away pretty quickly when it appears as though Hannah is involved in some sort of crime spree that she may or may not have been coerced into doing against her will. Hank saw her go away right in the middle of the two of them having breakfast and it appeared as though she was fearful of whoever she departed with. This is definitely an important case for a number of different reasons, with one of the biggest ones being that Hank feels like he is the right person to be able to bring in results. He knew Hannah from years back and with that in mind, he certainly thinks that he is the right person to be able to use her to stop what becomes a deadly string of crimes.

Yet, the sneak preview also shows you that as the case progresses, Denny Woods is going to be feeling less and less confident in the abilities of Intelligence to be able to do the job. As a matter of fact, he wants to go ahead and pull them off the case. Consider this another thing Voight has to fight him on, and there are going to be many coming up given that he and Al both are going to be under the microscope throughout this episode due to the Bingham case. As a matter of fact, Olinsky in particular may be in huge trouble after what happened with Ruben at the end of this past episode. Schemes like this rarely ever seen to work.
