Bull season 2 episode 21 spoilers: Yara Martinez returns as Isabella
If you recall, earlier this season we named Isabella as one of the actors from Bull we’d love to see come back for another appearance, and that does seem to be happening now come Tuesday, May 1 for the installment entitled “Reckless.” This is one that is going to tee up the finale airing later that month, and also may be one that gives Dr. Jason Bull a little more to think about personally than he has in a while. That’s super-important and something that this man needs. As explained in our recent TV Heroes feature on the character, this is someone who is so obsessed about the job itself that he can lose sight of everything else that matters in his life. What his ex-wife Isabella may come to tell in this episode could have a lasting impact both in the present and the future.

“Reckless” – Bull’s team worries that they’re in over their heads when they take on the seemingly unwinnable case of Elliott Miles (Frank De Julio), a mute man facing the death penalty if he’s found guilty of murder and arson. Also, Bull is stunned to learn that his ex-wife is remarrying, on BULL, Tuesday, May 1 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Will this knowledge cause Bull to reflect on his own relationship with Isabella? That seems likely, given the fact that the two parties went through so much already and had an experience nobody else could understand. Yet, things may be too far gone for them and it doesn’t appear as though there are any other romantic prospects for Bull on the horizon. This may have to be a story thread that carries over for him into season 3; even though we’ve seen the character have flirtations with Diana Lindsay and others over the years, there hasn’t been too much about them that imply that a long-term relationship could be coming later. He’s marries to the job and struggles with opening his soul to anyone.
Expect this episode to contain of course a fascinating case, but also a fascinating exploration as to the man that Jason Bull is. Getting Martinez back for it is the icing on the case and a nice way to prepare for the end of the season.
