Chicago PD season 5 episode 21 spoilers: Halstead, Atwater go undercover

Chicago PD season 5 episode 4

Love undercover missions within the One Chicago world? If so, there is a reasonably good chance that you are probably going to love Chicago PD season 5 episode 21 airing on NBC May 2. This is an hour in which Halstead and Atwater are going to put their lives on the line by going undercover, and that is something that we’re really looking forward to since we are so close to the end of the season when stories like this get amped up. Also, it’s been a while since LaRoyce Hawkins has been in the spotlight and this should be a good opportunity for him.

However, just because Atwater and Halstead are undercover doesn’t exactly mean that their mission will be successful. We’ve certainly seen plenty of examples of things going sideways in the past.

For a little more news now as to what to expect from that, plus also the continuation of the Voight – Olinsky story that is going on involving Bingham’s murder, take a look at the Chicago PD season 5 episode 21 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below:

05/02/2018 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Wednesday) : Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) and Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins) go undercover to prevent military-grade weapons from hitting the street. Meanwhile, Voight (Jason Beghe) calls in a favor as a last-ditch effort to clear Olinsky’s (Elias Koteas) name for Bingham’s murder.

Obviously, we have a ways to go on Chicago PD to get we get to the point where Olinsky is on trial for something that Voight did. What does feel reasonably clear at the moment though, is that Al is taking the fall for something that Voight isn’t admitting to. Why isn’t he just coming out and saying that he is responsible for this? Were he to do so at least Voight wouldn’t be seeing his friend take punishment for something that he didn’t do. It’s a tricky situation and it would certainly be a depressing one were it to end with Olinsky being put behind bars just because he’s unwilling to throw someone else under the bus.

While we question some of these characters for their decision-making, at the same time it feels reasonably clear to us that this has all of the makings of being an excellent hour of TV and a great way to set up the end of the season. Clearly, Denny Woods is not going anywhere in the near future.
