Homeland season 7 episode 9 video: The trouble with Dante

Homeland season 7 episode 2

Will Dante wake up? That is the question at the heart of Homeland season 7 episode 9 and based on the sneak peek that CarterMatt has for you below, there’s not a lot of hope.

Basically, what we saw over the course of this preview is a little bit of desperation when it comes to Carrie and Saul in hopes in that they could use Dante in order to get some valuable testimony. Unfortunately, that doesn’t appear to be happening now.

What Carrie also learns is that there aren’t many other options when it comes to pinning the Russians to what happened to McClendon. You can see the desperation in Carrie’s eyes as she starts to realize that there may not be an easy way to fix the problem that she is now facing — she’s spent most of the season trying to get answers — hopefully, she is going to find some in short order, but there are still three more episodes to go after this. That means the producers can take their time resolving things.

Beyond all else, one of the biggest questions that we have is this: Is Carrie ever going to be around a man (other than Saul) who doesn’t either get killed or almost-killed? We feel for her given that no matter what she does, this just seems to happen to her time and time again.

As for the quality of the show itself…

We are really entertained by this season so far! It’s pretty prescient and while it’s far from perfect, we’ve learned to accept some of Homeland and its various eccentricities — including some of the moments where it jumped the shark a bit.
