Will & Grace season 10 premiere date hopes: When could it be back?
Following tonight’s big finale on NBC, when is Will & Grace season 10 going to be premiering? We feel like at the end of tonight, there will easily be demands for more.
After all, why wouldn’t there be? We’re in an era where, honestly, we could all use a little bit of laughter, and one of the reasons for this abundance in revivals is probably in part due to the sheer demand that so many people have for an escape. This show does provide that and there’s also nostalgia to go along with it. It’s a way to flash back to an easier time, one where we at least to think people were a little friendlier — though in retrospect it is always easy to view things through rose-colored glasses.
The first thing that is worth noting at the moment is simply that there will, in fact, be a Will & Grace season 10. This news was actually confirmed by NBC last year, so throughout the course of airing this season there really wasn’t ever too much doubt as to whether or not the show would be coming back. As a matter of fact, we’ve learned since that it will also have a season 11 on the other side of season 10! The cast clearly all enjoys doing it so we’re absolutely psyched to see how the writing team can use some of that lead-up time in order to create some of the best stories possible.
As for when the Will & Grace season 10 premiere date will actually be, think along the lines of September! There’s really not too much of a reason for NBC to consider making some sort of enormous change, largely because of the fact that what they did for season 10 worked so well. Not only did the series perform reasonably well in the ratings, but it provided some opportunities for other shows to improve some of their own numbers.
Ultimately, though, one thing that NBC has to be prepared for are numbers more in line with the end of this season and less in line with the monster ones that the series premiered with this past fall. Much of its big performance right out of the gate was due in part to it not having been on the air for a really long time. We don’t necessarily think that we’ve seen a tremendous drop-off in quality for Will & Grace since that time. Instead, it’s just falling back more into its natural resting place ratings-wise. We anticipate that the tenth season will probably average somewhere around 1.1 or 1.2 rating in the 18-49 demographic — that’s not a home run by any means, but it’s okay for NBC.
