NCIS season 15 episode 20 return date: The 350th episode
Let’s start things off here with the obvious bad news in that there is no new episode of the show coming up on CBS next week. What’s the reason for that? It’s really so simple as the need to stretch these episodes out until May sweeps. There are only five episodes to go this season and in airing a repeat this week, that enables the show to air new episodes potentially for the rest of the season without any more breaks. They want that momentum this time around, especially when you consider the fact that NCIS does not, at the moment, have a season 16. Airing so many consecutive episodes could build momentum towards a renewal, plus also generate some more excitement about the story that is coming in the finale. Given that Pauley Perrette is leaving at the end of the season, signs point towards the finale being a more important episode than most. What is also important about the return of NCIS on April 17 is simply this: It’s the 350th installment of the show on CBS! That is certainly a big deal, given that it’s a chance to truly commemorate the series and celebrate more of its legacy. While the 350th episode isn’t getting the same attention as the 300th — and what the 400th would in the event that it happens — we do think it is a remarkable achievement. There are only so many shows that make it to this point in the run.
Below, the NCIS season 15 episode 20 synopsis has a little bit more information as to what’s coming up. All in all, it feels like this is going to be an emotional, complex story to mirror the importance of this episode as a part of the series’ run:
“Sight Unseen” – NCIS searches for a petty officer suspected of assault who escapes when the sheriff transporting him crashes into a lake. Also, Torres works closely with Annie Barth (Marilee Talkington), a key blind witness who heard vital evidence needed to solve the case, on the milestone 350th episode of NCIS, Tuesday, April 17(8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Hopefully, what “Sight Unseen” achieves is an opportunity to show more of the humanity within the blind community, as well as some of the amazing things that people with limited vision can do (just like one of the co-owners of CarterMatt in Matt Carter!). Hopefully, the Annie Barth character surprises viewers both in terms of her ability, her personality and spirit.
