Call the Midwife season 7 episode 3 video (PBS): Trixie’s trouble

Call the Midwife season 7 episode 3 is going to be airing on PBS come Sunday night, and as is often the case with this series there are a number of different major events that are coming up. Somehow, writer Heidi Thomas is always able to weave in some of those amazing emotional stories into larger character arcs.

CarterMatt has a new video preview below that gives you a good sense as to what’s coming on Call the Midwife season 7 episode 3, but beyond that we’ve also got a few teasers of our own to share!

1. Trixie’s status – Her relationship with Christopher will be an enormous part of this episode, but unfortunately we’re not sure that the cycle of highs and lows is going to be ending anytime soon. As a matter of fact, by the end of this episode there is a serious reason to worry about Trixie. (On the flip side, there is a great performance by Helen George during this episode.)

2. Magda takes on a new gig – The new au pair to Dr. Turner and Shelagh finds something else to do in Poplar, and there are some surprising ramifications that come about as a result of that.

3. A beauty pageant – Obviously, the 1960’s version of a beauty pageant is very different from the sort that you would see today, but one of the midwives is going to find themselves roped into taking part with some pretty interesting results. It’s not the sort of thing that you would expect to see on Call the Midwife and that’s in part what makes it interesting … to go along with the larger role that it plays within the story. (After all, everything on this show is connected to something else, even if it does not appear to be that way at first.)

4. A shocking conclusion – This episode probably does not end in the way you would imagine going into it, as one of the biggest storylines for the past few weeks comes to a rather-abrupt end.
