NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 19: Sam, Hidoko go undercover
The NCIS: Los Angeles season 9 episode 19 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below offers up a little more insight as to what we’re talking about:
“Outside the Lines” – After a cryptocurrency farm is robbed of over $10 million in Bitcoin codes, Sam and Hidoko go undercover, with Sam resuming a likely compromised former alias, on NCIS: LOS ANGELES, Sunday, April 22 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
What’s interesting about this episode on the surface is largely just that we haven’t seen Sam and Hidoko paired off too much on the show just yet, which offers up a different dynamic and a chance to learn more about her. We would say that this past episode (where she worked on Callen’s secret mission) is probably her strongest episode to date. This was one of the best opportunities we’ve had to think of her somewhat independently, and not so much just as someone closely tied to Shay Mosley. The more we see of this side of Hidoko, the more we will probably find ourselves rooting for her to stick around for a while.

Of course, if there is one bummer here it’s that there isn’t exactly a whole lot of insight at the moment about any of the other stories within this episode. Once there is more to report we’ll have it for you here — we’re just very much curious as to how the show is going to present Bitcoin, something that is pretty hard even for people with moderate knowledge of cryptocurrency to understand. How do you find a way to really dive into this over the course of just a single episode?
