Timeless season 2 episode 4 preview: The Salem Witch trials

Timeless season 2 episode 4 is going to be airing on NBC in two weeks’ time and judging from what we saw from the end of tonight’s episode, our heroes now officially have their work cut out for them in so many different ways. Not only do they have to figure out how to handle having Garcia Flynn now out with them on missions, but there is another major wrench thrown into the system: The news of Wyatt’s wife being alive all of a sudden. This puts him in a difficult, complication position — he clearly has feelings for Lucy, but so much of his past is tied to this woman he’s been desperate to bring back. Now that she is, will he bring himself back to the place where he has feelings for her once more.? That certainly does seem possible.

Below, the Timeless season 2 episode 4 synopsis does offer up a little bit more information in regards to just some of what you can expect to see:

04/08/2018 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Sunday) : While Wyatt (Matt Lanter) sneaks away from the bunker to face an unbelievable truth, Lucy (Abigail Spencer), Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) and their former enemy-turned- teammate, Garcia Flynn (Goran Visnjic), chase the Mothership to the Salem Witch Trials. There they must prevent the execution of a headstrong young woman who, it turns out, is mother to one of the most consequential Americans of all time – the yet to be born Benjamin Franklin. When Lucy is accused of being a witch, the team rallies together not only to save Abiah (guest star Sofia Vassilieva) and Lucy (Abigail Spencer), but all the accused women. TV-PG D, V

Let’s hope that Wyatt doesn’t find himself too distracted given that this is going to be one of the most important cases of the entire season so far. The Salem Witch Trials are a period of history where you had people so afraid that they would latch onto any explanation possible to explain strange behavior, including witchcraft. Given that the goal here isn’t too dramatically change history, the team can’t just bring a bunch of modern weapons into the past in order to save Lucy, either. They are going to have to be resourceful, and think creatively more so than as some bull in a china shop.
