Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 18 video: See Tani, Junior as beat cops
One thing that you may know already is that cast member Alex O’Loughlin is going to be directing this installment. Beyond that, there are also a few other fun things that you can expect to see — including more of Tani and Junior working together! Within this episode you’re going to see this two characters work as uniform officers for the day and with that, there’s going to be a lot of comedy that goes along with it. These are two people who really haven’t ever been traditional cops and they’re going to have to learn the ropes — also, Junior has to do what he can in order to help an old lady.
We do love the show basically doing whatever it can at this point to lean into the Junior/Tani relationship, which over time has become incredibly entertaining. The two have good chemistry together, but what we do want to see for now is them continue to build up a good back-and-forth dynamic and friendship before becoming anything more. We have seen that glimpse into the (possible) future where the two are together, but there’s a little bit of time to get to this.

Interestingly, the promo below doesn’t actually give too much away in terms of one of the other big storylines in this episode — learning more about Danny’s shooting earlier this season. We do very much need answers when it comes to this subject, but CBS isn’t too willing to hand them down … at least not yet. You’ll get some of that, plus a little bit of fun, over the course of the upcoming episode.
