New Supernatural season 13 episode 16 trailer paints full ‘Scoobynatural’ picture

Supernatural season 13 Scooby-Doo crossover

While you wait for Supernatural season 13 episode 16 to come around, we do have one thing that should make you all the more excited to see “Scoobynatural” — a new trailer that gives you more of a sense as to what’s coming.

If there’s one word that we would use in order to describe this episode it’s this: Fun. Sam, Dean, and Castiel find themselves transported into the classic cartoon for a monstrous case that actually has real-world consequences, and this isn’t just like a classic Scooby-Doo, Where are You? episode where the bad guy is just somebody wearing a mask. They realize soon after arriving in this world that in the event that one of them dies within this world, they also could be dead within the real world.

Also, there are some other highlights in here. For starters, apparently things are necessarily as G-rated as they were back when the original cartoon was on the air. Apparently, Dean’s version of “zoinks” is a swear word, and he also proclaims that he’d “take a bullet” for Scooby-Doo in the event that such a moment does come around.

There’s probably no other episode of Supernatural that we are going to enjoy more than “Scoobynatural” just from the standpoint of comedy alone. We’re also a big fan of some of the classic cartoons so there is just something sweet and nostalgic about The CW doing this. It also is still keeping our thirst very much alive for the network to someday cultivate some sort of live-action version of the series — while we are not entirely sure that it would ever happen (how do you make it without Scooby looking a little strange within that world?) it absolutely is still something that we would think about.
