Supernatural season 13 – Scooby Doo crossover photos: Dean with Daphne and more

Supernatural season 13 Scooby-Doo crossover

As we inch ever closer to the Supernatural season 13 – Scooby-Doo crossover coming on the air later this month, The CW is being rather generous when it comes to sharing some info as to what’s coming. We’ve already seen a promo for “ScoobyNatural,” and in some of the new photos released by the network, we get a sense as to just how fun much of this episode is going to be.

Let’s start here with the obvious — of course Dean would spend a little bit of his time around Daphne. It’s been well-established at this point that he is the Scooby-Doo super-fan of the group and he is probably going to do whatever he can as a result of this to turn on the charm. Will that work? Well, we’re not entirely confident given that we don’t see a long-term relationship happening, even on a show like this, between a live-action figure or a cartoon character (though we do presume that in this world turning a cartoon character into a live-action figure probably is possible). Meanwhile, Sam is spending a little bit of time with Velma during this episode and you’re also going to have a chance to see Castiel do his part to lend Shaggy and Scooby a helping hand.

This episode seems to serve two different purposes: Giving the Supernatural writers a chance to tell a story that is completely off-kilter and different from anything that they have had a chance to tell before, and also allowing us a chance to see a worthy homage to classic Scooby-Doo in 2018. After all, much of this episode is a recreation of a classic Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? episode from decades ago. All signs point towards the writers doing their homework and wanting to deliver here the best, most-authentic experience possible for longtime fans of both franchises.
