The Good Doctor episode 17 video: Shaun Murphy as Cupid
This is what the latest sneak peek below (via TVLine) is here to offer — some more of Dr. Glassman, albeit in one of the most comedic settings possible. Dr. Shaun Murphy, now apparently in a better place when it comes to his relationship with his mentor, has determined that the #1 thing he needs to do is to set him up. With that, he carts Dr. Glassman over to spend some time with the hospital barista, who apparently has very acceptable facial features, according to Shaun, and is also Jewish. This is awkward, but also incredibly amusing as Dr. Glassman tries repeatedly to apologize to the woman for the random, and awkward, introduction.
Now that we’ve said all of this, wouldn’t it be really funny if these two characters actually do somehow end up together? It would absolutely be a move forward in this relationship that we don’t see coming and there could be a lot of comedy that goes along with that.
One other funny little Easter egg about this scene: The barista is played by Sheila Kelley, who in real life is married to (you guessed it) Richard Schiff.
