Is Bonnie’s son a big factor in How to Get Away with Murder season 5?
There are many different possibilities that are out there when it comes to this character on the show and there is no definite timeline as to when more answers will come in a season 5. (Technically, the series has not been renewed just yet but it feels like a done deal.)
For the time being, show executive producer Pete Nowalk is not even confirming that Gabriel is Bonnie’s kid — with the way in which the show edited together the reveals we’re not ruling out the fact that Annalise is still somehow involved in that somewhat. Here is some of what he had to say to Entertainment Weekly:
“We’re hinting that it’s Bonnie’s kid. All we know is that Frank called someone and said, “Her kid’s here.” That pronoun, her, covers a lot of our characters, and maybe characters we don’t know. We don’t know who Frank is talking to, so that’s really a huge mystery for the next season.”

Ultimately, it doesn’t so much matter to us just who Gabriel is as it does what the reverberations of him appearing on the show are — to be specific, how this character does impact some of the other people who are mixed in with the rest of the show. We’ve already seen people are supposed to be loving and caring (see Laurel’s parents) turn out to be complete monsters. Meanwhile, people who are supposedly wicked have shown softer, more vulnerable sides. We’re not going to be able to make a full determination on this character until we see more of how they interact with everyone else.
