How to Get Away with Murder season 5 premiere date hopes
We should start things off at the moment with this: There is no How to Get Away with Murder season 5 renewal at present. Yet, for the most part this does seem like a foregone conclusion. We reported already that there are some plans being made for it behind the scenes; also, do you really think that ABC would part with Viola Davis, one of their most-popular stars? That’s just something that doesn’t seem to be even remotely possible.
Now, the next thing to wonder is whether or not ABC would consider moving the show from its timeslot Thursday night at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time. We don’t think that it’s going to happen, even if the schedule as a whole is changing. It’s possible that the network will air Station 19, if the ratings are good enough, in the old Scandal timeslot in the spring. Meanwhile, How to Get Away with Murder season 5 could stay put at 10:00 p.m. — that’s probably for the best, given that the ratings for this show probably aren’t great enough to be considered a big hit earlier on in the night.
So how much longer can the series last? We don’t foresee How to Get Away with Murder as the sort of show that ends up lasting longer than another few years at most, but there is no sign as of right now that season 5 is going to be the last. One of the things that does help the show is that there are only 15 episodes a season — that helps to ensure that nobody out there ever gets sick of the series and it continues to bring something fresh/interesting to the table.
