Welcome to another edition of our third annual TV Madness Tournament! This is a fun annual tradition here at CarterMatt where we have some fun, engaging battles between various shows looking to make it all the way to the final round on March 28.
Above, you can see our full bracket, complete with entries, their seeds, and start/end dates. Once you are within the bracket, the dates listed are when the previous poll ends and the next one begins! We’ve got a great group of shows taking part this year, with some newbies as well as others who have been a part of the tournament every single year. The voting rules are pretty simple — you can vote however often you would like on however many devices that you would like! If you are on mobile and you are having a problem seeing the poll at the bottom of the article for whatever reason, be sure to click to view the non-AMP version of the page at the bottom of the article.
In today’s edition we actually have our first real results of the entire tournament, as Bull is officially facing off against the play-in winner in Scorpion. After a reasonably close competition with The Librarians the CBS drama starring Elyes Gabel and Katharine McPhee has made it into the tournament proper this year. It’s got some formidable competition in the form of another CBS titan, but we’ll see what happens as this tournament progresses.
Now that we’ve set the stage, let’s get to breaking down these entries further. Voting for this round remains open until Tuesday, March 10 at 1:00 p.m. Pacific time.
Bull (#3 seed) – The Michael Weatherly series has absolutely earned its place in the tournament this year coming off of what is clearly the finest season of its entire run to date. This is a show that has packed in so much now when it comes to great, smart, and entertaining content this year that has allowed us to actually get to know some of the characters beyond their jobs. It is a relative newcomer to this tournament, though, so we’ll see how it fares.
Scorpion (#6 seed) – While it may be entering the tournament this year as an underdog, there is actually a pretty big precedent now of underdog series making it pretty far — Black Sails did just that last year after winning the play-in. It has a unified fanbase already on its side, so will this be Team Scorpion’s year to make it a few rounds in? We shall see, but we’ve been pretty impressed with the voter turnout here so far.
