Hold the Sunset episode 5 preview: What’s next for John Cleese series?

Hold the Sunset episode 5

Hold the Sunset episode 5 is airing on BBC One next week, and if you haven’t heard too much about the show just yet it’s kind of a big deal. This is the first regular appearance on a BBC scripted series by John Cleese since a little show known as Fawlty Towers, which is widely regarded today as one of the greatest sitcoms of all time. This is not really a series trying to necessarily match that; instead, it’s simply looking to do something a little bit different in looking at how people and relationships work later in life. Cleese may be 78 years old, but he’s every bit as sly and funny as he’s always been.

If you are in America and are eager to check out the series, rest assured that once there is some more news to report on that subject, we’ll have it for you here.

If you are in the UK, meanwhile, be sure to take a look at some of the first Hold the Sunset episode 5 details below:

Bob gives Roger the idea of applying to be a paid carer for Edith. However, Edith is perfectly well, so who can Roger persuade to stand in for her?

What this story is looking to do at this point is give you a little bit of a classic switcheroo — Roger has to find a way to achieve his goal via, shall we say, some alternative means. There is some hilarity that likely come out of this, just as there always is on any series starring Cleese. This is a show that is largely going to be about the buildup, though — the biggest distinction that we would draw between these series and Fawlty Towers is that this series is a little more plot-driven than what has come before it. There is a little more of a clear trajectory.
