Dancing with the Stars 26: Adam Rippon, Mirai Nagasu both interested
Could Adam Rippon and Mirai Nagasu both be interested in Dancing with the Stars 26? Based on their current level of interest at the moment, it certainly seems possible. When it comes to their ability on the ice, we’ve got a pretty good feeling that they would be very good contestants and forces to be reckoned with in the competition. Just think back to when Meryl Davis and Charlie White were both on the show and it looked as though nobody was going to be able to stop them.
Some of Rippon’s hopes of doing the show have been documented already, but when it comes to Nagasu she’s shown some of her own interest as well. Speaking to Yahoo! Sports, Adam’s Team USA teammate and close friend had the following to say:

“I hope I’ll be there with him … I’ve never gotten the opportunity to compete against Adam, but I would love (it).”
While typically we would say that Dancing with the Stars would max out having two Olympic athletes on the show per season, it’s possible that they could feature a few more this time around. Why is that? It’s really so simple as the fact that this coming season is set to feature athletes only for the first time. We’re sure that there will be the customary NFL stars and maybe a few retired athletes from some other sports, but there’s a pretty good chance that we will have as many as three or four Olympians coming in after their time in south Korea. Given that this show offers up a great platform and a chance to try something new, it’s very appealing for Olympic athletes. Even for some with aspirations to compete again, this could mark a little bit of a palette-cleanser that allows them to also stay in shape.
In addition to White and Davis, we’ve seen some other prominent Winter Olympians on Dancing with the Stars including Kristi Yamaguchi and Apolo Anton Ohno. Both of these athletes ended up winning their respective seasons, as did Meryl on hers.
The new Dancing with the Stars season will officially start off in the spring.
