Outlander season 4 filming timeline: Where is the cast going next?
Will there be some more opportunities for sightings and scoop tomorrow? Maybe, but nothing can be guaranteed. According to one local source (see the tweet over at the link here), filming will continue until Thursday when production shifts to another very familiar location in Perthshire. This is a busy time for production, but that makes sense given that there is so much meaty stuff to tackle this season!
In general, it feels as though filming this season has been a little more public than in the past, which we’ve detailed on a few different occasions as of late. What makes this season so different? A lot of it just as to do with production being locations that are a little more accessible and familiar. For both seasons 2 and 3, the cast and crew spent a lot of time in other countries — while Outlander may be popular worldwide, few places surpass Scotland.

With all of this filming being done, hopefully there is going to be an opportunity coming up to take a look at a little bit more footage from the show. It was January when we last had something from Starz in the form of a new sneak peek — come March or April, the time could feel right for the network to come out with an official teaser. That will set the stage for a trailer more than likely coming up in the summer. (With all of this said, the odds are pretty darn low that the network is going to unveil some sort of substantial footage from where the show is in production in either the trailer or a teaser — that would be giving a little bit too much away.)
New episodes will air on Starz most likely in the fall. Nothing is 100% official, but it has been confirmed that it will arrive in 2018. There’s not many other realistic timeframes.
