In new timeslot, what should Timeless season 2 ratings expectations be?

Timeless season 2 ratings

Is it too early to discuss Timeless season 2 ratings? We don’t think so, especially since we want to get the season 3 campaign starting sooner rather than later!

What we want to address from the onset right now is rather simple: The ratings for the first season were a little all over the map. If the series drew the same numbers in the winter of 2017 that it did the fall before (which is when the series aired following its time on The Voice), it would be almost without question a smash hit. Unfortunately, it didn’t draw anywhere near that. At best, it pulled a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic in the winter; at worst, it drew a 0.6.

What we would need the NBC series to draw in order to start to feel pretty good about its long-term future is a 0.8 rating. This isn’t exactly the lowest possible rating that the show could get and still be renewed (a 0.7 could be possible if the DVR ratings are good enough), we do think that a 0.8 rating is enough to make some network executives feel at least reasonably good about its stability moving into the future.

As for whether or not that will happen, it’s going to take a unified from all #Clockblockers out there to spread the word and make sure that there are some new potential viewers to the series! Be sure to tell all of your friends to watch old episodes or at least given the show a chance. What we like about the Sundays-at-10:00 timeslot is that there isn’t too much in the way of heavy competition — yet, what we don’t love is that the series will have been off the air for over a year and often, large hiatuses tend to mean shows end up struggling in the numbers. It’s hard to retain all of your viewers when they either A) forget about you or B) have moved on to other things. Let’s hope that this is not the case here.
