Week in CarterMatt: Talking Bull, The Flash, SVU surprise endings and more

Week in CarterMatt

Welcome to the Week in CarterMatt! This is a new series that we’re doing in video form every weekend, with one of the main focuses being trying to reflect on what we’ve seen unfold in the TV world over the past seven days before. Sometimes, the focus here will be on individual shows and concepts; at other points, it’s going to be more about specific trends that we’re seeing that define almost everything that’s going down.

In this week’s edition (see the video below), CarterMatt co-founder Matt Carter touches on a little bit of both given that there were a number of things that unfolded when it comes to big TV cliffhangers — Cable’s future on Bull is unclear, Barba is leaving Law & Order: SVU, The Flash has changed things up with DeVoe once more, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Why are networks treating the last episode before the Olympics all of a sudden like it’s a midseason finale? We’re seeing shows have huge endings even though they are only off the air for a couple of weeks.

Closer to the end of the video we’ll also share some specific insight regarding some of the articles that we’ve done this week and features that we’re working on. Here are just a few important highlights.

1. The Chicago PD interview with Rick Eid

2. The TV Revivals article series and polls – What shows do you want back?

3. Outlander perspectives – Discussions about some of the best from season 3.

4. TV Lifespans – How long will some of your favorites last?

We want some of these videos to be as interactive as possible, so we of course want to hear from you a little more in terms of some of the future shows / discussions you want to see in some of these videos! You can comment either in this article or over on the videos themselves. Be sure to also like and subscribe! It helps more people to find them! In addition to our other reaction/discussion videos, Week in CarterMatt videos should be posted late Saturday / early Sunday.

One last thing…
