Legends of Tomorrow season 3 episode 10 video: The John Constantine – Sara Lance story

John Constantine - Sara Lance

When Legends of Tomorrow season 3 episode 10 comes to The CW Monday night in its new time (8:00 p.m. Eastern), it’s going to be doing so with a story that is basically all you could want from this show. It’s crazy, but also funny, exciting, and even a little bit creepy. It’s pretty interesting that the first season of the show was a straight up time-travel romp and we’re now getting closer to full-fledged The Exorcist.

At the heart of Monday night’s “Daddy Darhkest” is going to be a demon, and a rather unusual one at that. We’re speaking here of some sort of nefarious creature who is out there saying Sara Lance’s name and it is going to be up to John Constantine to figure out why. This is why he jumped aboard the Waverider to visit his old friend — someone who certainly owes him. Without Constantine, Sara would have never reverted to the person that she was after being resurrected. John knows this, and feels like it is enough to get a favor from her.

As to why this said demon knows her name, all signs point towards this being tied to what happened with her and Mallus, the super-mysterious demon Big Bad, at the end of the midseason finale. Sara is the first Legend to be transformed over to another realm, one where she was closer to the villain than anyone else has been. This is a character the writers will probably introduce more as the season goes along, but he’s a difficult character to gauge since he’s not entirely human.

For now, be content with Damien Darhk and his daughter running around and causing chaos. It’s really a shame that Darhk wasn’t just introduced on this series in the first place — it’s really the perfect show for him. Arrow was never a good fit.

Is there a chance at a Sara – Constantine romance?

There was a hope at the start of the season to bring in a new love interest for Sara, and that does seem be a priority here. This is what executive producer Marc Guggenheim had to say on the subject to Entertainment Weekly:

“[The dynamic between John and Sara is] really good. I mean, bear in mind they kind of know each other, I mean they had the small little interaction of, you know, Constantine bringing Sara back to life. So they have a connection. I will say that we’ve got a very randy, bisexual Constantine, and we have a very randy, bisexual Sara, and who knows what could happen if we get the two of them in teams together?”

We do still think that the writers are building towards Sara and Ava being a thing, but this could be a pretty fun story along the way!
