The Flash season 4 episode 14 spoilers: Ralph Dibny is over being Elongated Man

Moving into The Flash season 4 episode 14 on February 27, we’re going to continue to be aware of one thing when it comes to Ralph Dibny — he has all of the glory and none of the guts. We’ve already seen that he likes being a hero when his life isn’t in great danger; unfortunately for him, it now is in “Subject 9.” We saw a hint of that on this past episode as Barry and the rest of them discovered that DeVoe is trying to use everyone on the bus as a means of acquiring some of their powers. Below, the new The Flash season 4 episode 14 synopsis gives you a little bit more insight as to what could be coming:

RALPH FEARS FOR HIS LIFE – Barry (Grant Gustin) meets a powerful woman whose abilities could help him in his battle with DeVoe (guest star Sugar Lyn Beard). Meanwhile, after learning that DeVoe is targeting everyone who was on the bus, Ralph (Hartley Sawyer) decides he doesn’t want to be a hero anymore, his only concern is staying alive. Harry (Tom Cavanagh) offers to help Joe (Jesse L. Martin). Ralph Hemecker directed the episode written by Mike Alber & Gabe Snyder (#414). Original airdate 2/27/2018.

Ralph’s fears are clearly justified given that to date, DeVoe has murdered several different meta-humans while taking many of their powers in the process. While in the early going to didn’t appear as though he was the most dangerous villain The Flash had encountered, it does certainly seem that way now. We have a feeling that Becky is going to be the last body that he inhabits — this is just the most interesting one since Becky as a character is so opposite of everything DeVoe has presented himself to be so far.

After having some concerns about this season being a little too goofy or relying too heavily on a character like Ralph who we still barely know, we’re actually starting to feel super-optimistic over the series’ future now. DeVoe is such a dangerous adversary and we imagine that finding ways to defeat him is not going to come easy. Barry better hope for great things from whoever this new mysterious meta-human is.
