Scandal – How to Get Away with Murder crossover promo: Olivia, Annalise meet
As previously reported, the crossover is slated to air on Thursday, March 1 — there are only a handful of episodes left for How to Get Away with Murder this season and for Scandal the series, so there was obviously a sense of urgency to make this crossover happen.
One of the things that is obviously super-exciting about this crossover is that we’re getting a chance to see two extremely formidable characters going toe to toe with each other and we don’t think that either one of them is going to give an inch to each other. We know from their own shows that they refuse to take no for an answer and this is going to be a serious clash of the titans. Viola Davis and Kerry Washington are both fantastic actors, and we know from within the #TGIT world that there’s been a desire for some time to bring the two parties together in some fashion. This episode marks that opportunity, and we have a feeling that there will be many an exciting moment that comes about as a result of it.
Will the two characters get along? At first, that seems unlikely; yet, as the episode contains we can actually imagine that being so if for no other reason than that they are cut in some ways from the same cloth. They are tough, smart people who know how to get the job done. They won’t agree with one another on everything but we also seriously doubt that anyone would expect that. What matters the most is that they’re able to work through whatever conflict they have and find a way to work together. We do think that’s one of the big appeals of pairing them up and one of the things viewers most want to see.
